My name is Wendy, I am from The Netherlands. I got my first roadbike when I was 7 years old. I cycled a lot with my dad and my brother. The last 6 years after I learned to walk again and an ankle operation I became more active in cycling. I started to ride longer distances and made a lot of cycling friends. Together with Aukje I started to get more interest in bikepacking and endurance racing.

Last summer I rode my bike to the Mosel River, 700km in 6 days. This was my first step into bikepacking and I had heaps of fun. End of September I rode coast2coast with Aukje. 200km headwinds, hopefully that will be a bit better when we race in May. The Race Around The Netherlands will be my first race and a new big challenge for me. My biggest challenge so far was becoming Cinglé du Ventoux for Klimmen tegen MS.
